UK License Awarded to Mansion

Online gambling operator Mansion Holdings Ltd. has been awarded a remote gambling license by the UK Gambling Commission (ULGC).

Casino GamblingDespite last year’s rumours that Mansion was pulling out of the UK market due to the UK Gambling Commission’s intention to implement its new licensing regime with its 15% online point of consumption tax, Mansion clarified that it had applied for a new UKGC license and the withdrawal only applied to its poker vertical.

However, Mansion Holdings laid off a huge number of staff at its Gibraltar HQ and shifted some of its operations to Bulgaria last September to prepare itself for the huge financial impact of the new Point of Consumption Tax.

Sagi Lahav, the Chief Executive Officer of Mansion Group, revealed that the new UK license is an important milestone in their strategy of acquiring gaming licenses in key markets for the company.
