                        <description><![CDATA[ 8.6% of Britons Gamble Online but it&#39;s mostly on the lottery and not internet gambling, casinos or bingo sites.<p>According to the latest independent survey commissioned by the <a href="http://www.doolallys.com../../../best_uk_casino.htm"  title="UK Casinos" target='_blank'>UK</a> Gambling Commission, which probed the gambling habits of 8000 respondents, the number of people who gambled online remained the same as the previous year &ndash; 8.6% - despite that fact that the general population has been exposed to gambling advertising this past year. </p><p>Most of the gamblers fell into the 18-35 year old age group, and more men than women played online. </p><p>The majority of those who chose to gamble online did so by playing the National Lottery, while only 1% played at online casinos or <a href="http://www.doolallys.com../../../online-bingo.htm"  target="_blank" title="Online Bingo" target='_blank'>bingo</a> sites.</p> ]]></description>

                        <description><![CDATA[ Holland Decides to Clamp Down on Internet Gambling.<p>Dutch banks and credit companies were surprised this week to receive a list of 30-50 gambling companies from the government and were advised not to allow transactions to take place between these companies and Dutch citizens. </p><p>The government threatened to prosecute any bank that went against the orders. </p><p>This move is seen as yet another effort by the Dutch authorities to clamp down on the internet gambling industry and follow a protectionist policy. A spokesperson for the Dutch Ministry of Justice said: &quot;It is illegal to offer gambling services in the Netherlands without a permit.
