There's some pretty gruesome baddie animations in there as well as Superman.

The Spiderman game has 25 paylines, and I like to play them all.  As a rule it is always best to play all the paylines, even if you have to reduce the value of your stake to control the gambling levels.  I played for 2 pence per line to keep the costs down and this made each spin worth 50 pence, about right for the value casino gambler.

Hitting the bonus game gives you the choice of taking the Spiderman free spins or the Venom feature which sounded much more fun to me. 

In the Venom feature, you have to guide Spiderman through the city streets to find venom encountering other crimes along the way which you will be paid for as you clear up the mess.  Go down a dead end and you've lost.

I actually saved a Grandma, stopepd a shooting winning me £6.50 then hit lucky and managed to destroy venom which netted me another £50.  Talk about a lucky break, just when my balance was about £40 and  going down as well. 

A few spins later and Spiderman swung across my screen taking one reel with him.  This netted another £23!  Excellent!

I continued playign the Spiderman slot for a while, I played for about half an hour altogeter but didn't have much more lucky apart from small wins.  I ended up about £60 playign the Spiderman slot and as I've done before when I win a little, and as the whole point of this section of the Doolallys site is to see how I fare overall when looking for value of entertainment rather than massive wins, I withdrew £50 to my debit card. 

Spiderman is one of the best Marvel Slots in my mind although Iron Man is getting a lot of attention just now with the new movie release.

Again I played for £2.60 per game of Casino Solitaire and my first game had a lowly return of £1.25.  Quite frustrating when you're flicking through the cards and don't get any that you can really do anything with.

The second game was worse with only £1 return for my £2.60.  Mmmm, maybe this isn't such a good game after all.  Casino Solitaire is certainly fun and a great was to pass the time but it's getting expensive.

£1.75 then £2.55 followed in the next Solitaire games which was a little better but I'm still not into the black.

The last game of the day, because I was getting disheartened by this stage, athough it passed 15 minutes, saw a return of £1.25, another poor showing. 

Time for something different.

Who hasn't played Solitaire with either a pack of cards, or the free version that comes with every new PC.  Casino Solitaire is essentially the same game with the exception that you place a bet to start and for every card you manage to get 'home' a return amount is made to you.

It's an addictive game, so if playing for money, as always, play responsibly.  If you're not sure exactly how to play then see our Casino Solitaire rules before playing. 

I've played a lot of this in the past and find it really enjoyable, to make the most of the game though and to get your mind in tune with playing, play for free until you've settled into the game and are happy with what you have to do.

£2.50 back on first game.  I only managed to get one Ace out and couldn't get any cards moving so there was little hope of getting a good run as I couldn't help clear any of the stacks on the table.

My second game wasn't any better and only returned a single £1 for my efforts.  Again, as happens with Solitaire when online or with a pack of cards on your kitchen table, the cards either run for you or they don't and they'res nothing you can do about it. 

The third game went a little better with a £5 return for my £5.20 stake.  Still not a win but ar least I was heading in the right direction!  A £3.50 return was my rewward for game four – we've started going back again I thought so just one more game. 

After my last game and a return of £3 I decided to play just one more.  Solitaire has a habit of doing that to you.  You can be in the World's biggest rush but there still seems time for just one more game!

Another £3 then another and this Solitaire game was starting to get quite frustrating, just one more then.

My final game won me £9 so at least one game gave me more money than I spent. 

I had played for an hour and that's one thing to remember when playing Casino Solitaire, take your time.  There are often cards that are plain to see but you miss them with looking too hard.  There's no time limit with Casino Solitaire, so settle down and study the cards as they appear.

In total I played 8 games at a total cost of £41.60 and received £30 back in winnings.  Casino Solitaire probably isn't a value game although a good run of cards can net a good win.  The value casino player who doesn't mind that the odds are definitely in the Casino's favour will probably find it better to play for smaller stakes to give more playing time and enjoyment.  Casino Solitaire can be played at InterCasino from £1.04 a game and it certainly is fun.

I chose to play the Fantastic Four slot as it's one of the new ones in the series and I've not played it before.  What I like most about these slot games is when you manage to win your way to the bonus level which has an arcade game feel to it. 

Bets can be placed on from 1 to 25 paylines with each bet available from 1 pence up to £5 per line.  I like to play all paylines but, as usual, I like to see some playing time for my money so I bet a whopping 2 pence per line making each spin 50 pence to go.

I started with £69.19 in my account which was more than you would expect if you've been following this casino blog detailing my play.  With me being away for a while, Intercasino gave me £20 extra to entice me back.  All I had to do to get the extra cash was to play anything for any amount.  I was in a rush so I lost £1 in a game of Let it Ride and promptly left.  

Anyway back to the Fantastic Four slot game.  I played for a total of 30 minutes and must say that I do like this game.  I finished up £10 in the red but I did enjoy playing.  The bonus game is very cool.  When you win through to the bonus game you can choose from 5 different options with various bonuses and multipliers to choose from.  The animated sequences are amazing and really add to the game. 

The only real gripe with the Fantastic Four slot is that in 30 minutes of steady play, I only reached the bonus round twice and although you can win a bit, I think the two combined was about £30, I'd have like to see more of the bonus round where it's more exciting.

In summary, the Fantastic Four slot is a great looking game with fantasic animation but after a while, like all of the Marvel slots games, you can start to tire of it a little.  Still a good offering and comic book fans will enjoy the themed reels.

So what is Jewel Quest?  Well its a 5 level treasure hunt where you have to match artifacts to win the prizes on offer.  Maybe not a game for those with a budget as each game is £1 a go as a minimum but the graphics and sound effects within the game are stunning for an online casino game and really do the whole theme of the game justice.

It's a great game to play but difficult to describe without someone seeing or actually playing Jewel Quest.  I think the quickest way of describing the game is that it's like a cross between Tetris and Bejeweled with a little Cubis thrown in for good measure. 

Pay your money and a selection of icons fall down the screen, get 3 or more in a row and they pay out a value, the tiles then all fall down and are replaced at the top, giving more scope to win.  If you get a winning combination on any square, then it turns into a gold colour for the remander of your play of if you fill all the squares with gold, you get a bonus and the chance to play the next level of the game.  It takes quite a few plays to get up a level though, so bear this in mind when playing Jewel Quest for the first few times.

I ended up losing a fair bit of money, desperately trying to complete the second level with only one square left to turn into gold and this cost me a fair bit.  Managed it eventually and making the third level took my money back to when I begun my quest.

Like all the casual slot type games, Jewel Quest is very addictive and you really do want to keep playing  and working through all the levels.  I've done well so far in my casino playing and so didn't mind losing a bit playing the game and finally made it to the final level, about £25 down, but be warned it could have been a lot worse and this is not a game I'd recommend as a value for money game.  Too often the wins are much smaller than your stake and the Jewel Quest game could make your casino playing budget deplete quickly.  I played for about 50 minutes and lost £35.  I quit then as level 5 was going to take some beating and the rewards weren't going to recoup my loses so I got out before making to big a dent playing the Jewel Quest game.

Jewel Quest is a great game that's stunning to look and very playable at but not one for the savvy casino player looking for value.

Without having a clue what to actually do I chose £0.25 per hand and 5 dealer hands and 3 player hands, mainly because this was the default values.  This gave a total minimum bet of £3.75.  Clicking “deal” sees three hands dealt to me and 5 to the deal.  Of course, although you can see all of your cards, only one of the dealers shows and the card is the same for all 5 hands. 

You then choose, as normal blackjack rules, what you wish to do with each hand, either stand, get another card or double down.  The dealers hands are then all played and the number of wins or losses are recorded at the bottom of the video blackjack screen.  You play each of your hands against each of the Dealer's hands. 

It's fairly straightforward really this Video Blackjack!!  Takes a bit of getting used to though and I'm not sure I really have any different playing strategy than regular blackjack strategy but then again, maybe this is the right way to play.  I'm just not sure.

Video Blackjack is a good game though and certainly makes a refreshing change from table blackjack, I'm sure video poker player will like it as well. I did wonder why the Dealer didn't seem to bust very often but I'm sure it's just the run of the cards, I'll watch this closely next time though.  I played for 15 minutes and ended up £6 down but I can see myself coming back to this one shortly to try and figure out a strategy, if there is one differerent from regular blackjack!  An intriguing game.

It's a 5 reel, 25 payline slots machine that accepts bets from 1 pence to £5 per line per spin and as you've probably guessed, it's built on the theme of computers and the rage they can instill in people. Again, like all of my casino games playing, I'm going for a value bet and so I decided to try this new slots game for 1 pence per line, playing all lines so each spin was costing me 25 pence to spin.

It's a nice looking game with some interesting animations and sound effects for the symbols that appear on the paylines. I especially like the spin and bet max buttons which look like computer keys. Look out for the boss too, he can substitute all other slots symbols except the girl and the computer.

There are bonus games and features as well with three smashed computers triggering the bonus game. I was about £10 down when I landed the bonus game where you have to select 5 windows from an office to see if a computer gets pushed out them , computer rage must be terrible in this office! Anyway, if a computer appears and falls to the ground you get an amount of money. My bonus game netted me £15.59 which was good as I wasn't getting any decent wins before that, only a few pence here and there. I also won £10.50 smashing three computers on the bonus game.

A decent slot although nothing startling and the typing noise as the reels stop started to get on my nerves after a while. Still I played for 15 minutes and finished up by just over £9 so it could have been worse.

All the time off has given me an appetite to play some quality casino games again and as usual I'll keep this casino blog up to date with the latest happenings.

A little explanation as to why I've not been playing much. 

First of all we (my Wife and I) had to move into a new house that we built so that took quite some time to get everything arranged, etc. 

Then my Wife gave birth to a beautiful set of triplets which have kept us going day and night since they arrived home from hospital.  What with another two kids under the age of 5, we've certainly got our hands full at the moment! 

I've still loads to do about the new house and there's a massive garden to start on when the weather gets a little better, but I'm starting to get some quality time = playing casino games and a little poker thrown in for good measure!

I've also had some great ideas for the Doolallys.com site as well and there will be even more interesting features added shortly.  Look out for the new Head to Head feature coming very soon.
