888 Announces Wink Bingo Acquisition Deal.888 Holdings, the gambling group that trades on the London Stock Exchange, announced that it would be acquiring the leading bingo brand, Wink Bingo for a maximum sum of £59.7 million.
888 will pay Daub Limited an initial £11.1 million in cash and the rest over the next year, based on performance ratings.
Wink Bingo owns popular bingo sites such as Posh Bingo and Bingo Fabulous. “We are delighted to announce the Wink Bingo acquisition as an expansion of our B2C online bingo footprint in the lucrative UK market,” said Gigi Levy, CEO of 888 Holdings.
“The Wink team has a proven track record of excellence in marketing, CRM and execution and will be a great addition to our growing bingo business.”
Wink Bingo has grown substancially in the past few years, mainly due to sponsorship of some of the UK's biggest and most popualr TV programmes shown on Saturday nights. As well as the TV presence, Wink have been very active in print and other online media.
