Bwin and PartyGaming Continue Talks
The gambling industry was whirling with rumors this week over a possible merger deal that is on the cards between Party Gaming and the Austrian gaming group, bwin.
If such a merger takes place, the combined group may be worth as much as $3.3 million, industry analysts say.
In the meantime, despite persistent rumors, bwin has downplayed expectations by saying: “We are talking to everyone because we believe that there will be more consolidation in the sector. But we are not in any advanced talks, including with Party Gaming.”
Rumour has it though that the two groups are in advanced talks and that a merger deal could be on the table.
If the deal goes ahead the new group will be one of the largest online gaming groups in the World and will be poised to break into new online markets with the strong branding available to both companies but with a greater arsenal between them.
