Russian Poker Player Breaks Industry Record - How many hands of poker can one player play in 18 hours and 33 minutes? 22 year old Russian online player, innerpsy, staggered the world with his incredible record of 40,088 hands over the weekend in an event hosted by Poker Stars and Card Game Masters.

The event, which was viewed by over 10,000 players through live streaming, was hosted by poker pro, Max Lykov.

“Before this challenge, I had never actually played more than 20,000 hands in a day before, but the idea came up and I just figured I could do it. It was one of the toughest things I have ever accomplished, but I am proud I managed it,” said the player.

“I gained a lot of experience doing this and will definitely try it again in order to improve upon my result.

One of my main goals is also to reach Supernova Elite status on Poker Stars,” he added.
