Poker Nations, the new social network for poker players and gamblers is now open in a Beta version and is accepting industry members as well as players who want to try out the new poker system before it officially goes live which will be very soon.

Social networking for poker players isn't really a new thing, there are a few sites around that try to offer a true social network for the poker player and gambler niches but most fail – dismally.

So what's the new Poker Nations site got that the rest don't?  Well, let's have a quick run through of the main features on the site to showcase why this new poker social network will succeed where others have failed.

First off, when arriving at the Poker Nations main page, you can instantly see that the whole system is very professionally built and run.  Navigation is easy and straight-forward so you can get to the right area of the site quickly without the need to make your way through many different screens.

As with all other social network sites, like Facebook or Bebo, you'll have to create a profile which let's others know a bit about you.  There is the ability to write your own blog and publish your poker playing or gambling exploits directly online.  Want to check out our poker blog? You can also feature your photos, making a collection to share, or not if you prefer.

Make friends with other poker players and share your playing experiences with them.  Post polls or favourite videos quickly and easily to your own dedicated section of the site.

There are many ways to interact with other players and like-minded people, the most popular of these is the forum where Poker Nations looks like it's going to excel.  The quality of the posts in the poker forum are of top quality and very friendly, making it a great place to ask a question or get feedback on your poker playing exploits.

With a number of professional poker players using the site, helping and interacting with others it looks like Poker Nations will very soon be the busiest and most popular poker social site online.

We can't wait for the full launch and will bring you more details then, but for now, why not sign up for an account and give Poker Nations a try!
