US Poker Market Heads the Industry

Long term plans by the US government to eradicate online poker from the country have proven futile, according to the latest statistics released by Poker Players Research.

The market research company showed that 10 million Americans played poker online for real money, compared to the second largest market in the world, the UK, with 1.9 million players.

Germany and France followed with 1.6 and 1.3 million.

The US industry continues to be served by companies such as Full Tilt Poker and Poker Stars, who enjoy around 50% of the market share.
