Bodog Up and Running
After intense discussions and negotiations, an agreement was reached by the Morris Mohawk Gambling Group that owns the Bodog brand, and 1st Technologies over a settlement deal and the Bodog.com domain name.
Bodog was ordered to pay 1st Technologies nearly $50 million for patent infringement and lost its rights to the domain name.
This week, however, the Bodog.com site was up and running, redirecting players to the new BodogLife.
“We are pleased to work constructively with 1st Technology and its principals to bring an end to this protracted dispute,” said the Morris Mohawk Gambling Group.
“This resolution will provide certainty and will also allow us to continue to enhance our technology base for online gaming in order to provide our users with unfettered access to the best technology.”
Bodog operate popular a popular online casino and poker rooms and have been constantly in the news over their, now retired owner Calvin Ayre and the domain name dispute.
