We've had a great weekend of poker, live from Dublin, Ireland where the Paddy Power Poker Irish Open was played with 700 players taking part in the most prestigeous event in the European Poker Calendar.

The final 8 that made the final table in the Irish Open were:

Lee Brooke-Pearce
Andrew Pantling
Andrew Bradshaw
Kara Scott
William Kassouf
Bradley Verburg
Christer Johansson
Atanas Gueorguiev

In the end it was TV presenter and Poker Player, Kara Scott and Christer Johansson that went heads-up for the title.

Kara Scott

It took just 13 hands to decide the heads up with Christer Johansson taking Kara Scott down when Kara raised pre-flop to 140k.  Christer called and a flop of Jd, 7s and Kd hits the table.

Kara bet out 175k and Christer raises to a total of 575k.  Kara has a think and decided to move all in for 2.5 million chips.  Christer then calls for another 1.9 million chips!

Kara Scott shows 9J and Christer Johansson has K3.  A Queen on the turn and Ace on the river doesn't improve either hand and Kara is eliminated with Christer Johansson winning the Paddy Power Poker Irish Poker Open 2009.
