Irish Open – Day 3

We continue our Live Poker coverage of the Paddy Power Irish Open from Dublin in this, the third day.

64 players assemble for the final day of the Irish Open today and there's definitely a real buzz in the poker rooms as one of them knows they are going to take the title and  and incrediable €600,000.  There are 8 Sole Survivors left in the tournament and the last one in the tournament will get an additional €100,000 on top of any tournament prize money.

The Sole Survivors still in the Irish Open at the start of Day 3 are:

Marcel Koch
Jason Tompkins
Mika Paasonen
Graham Masters
Paul Gourlay
Martin Lynch
Mervyn Smyth
Simon Lewis

The chipleader going into the final day is Andy Bradshaw with a total of 283,500 in chips but Andrew Pantling and Lee Brooke-Pearse are hot on his heels with only the value of the big blind between the three leading players!

The winner of the Paddy Power Winter Festival, Fiachra Meere is still in but with only 78,000 in chips it's going to be an uphill struggle.  However Fiachra is confident of getting a lot deeper in the tournament, so we'll have to wait and see.

Paul Leckey is having an anonymous tournament that's only made him see two showdowns with all-in bets.  He's short stacked but is playing well and may be one to watch if he continues with this style of play.

We'll bring you our final update of the Paddy Power Irish Open tomorrow when we'll the winner of the tournament.  For now, you can watch live on our main poker page.
