Ladbrokes Heads Down Under

Two top Ladbrokes executives flew off to Australia last week to meet top industry players, in a bid to apply for a gambling license in Victoria, which expires in 2012. The license is currently held by Tabcorp.

The executives, Kevin Hopgood and Steve Maxwell, will spend their time promoting Ladbroke’s top products and explaining why the company would do well Down Under.

“From a sporting perspective, there are a lot of similarities to the United Kingdom, horseracing, greyhounds, cricket, rugby, tennis,” said Hopgood.

“The sports and the culture are very, very similar and the betting interest very similar. We see it as a market we could deliver in and deliver a very good proposition to the Australian punter.”

Ladbrokes also provide online services and more details can be found at our Ladbrokes Casino and Ladbrokes Poker reviews.
