Bodog Ordered to Pay

Bodog has been ordered to pay 1st Technology $50 million.

An appeals court in the United States has stood by an earlier ruling that BodogLife, a world leading gambling company, will need to pay 1st Technology software developer $46 million for copyright infringement.

In addition, BodogLife has to add $4 million in interest to that amount.

1st Technology took Bodog to court and after the latter refused to even acknowledge the charges, a court ruled by default on the outcome. Bodog was also forced to change its name to BodogLife after the judge ordered the domain registrar to scrap the domain name of the company and its links.

Bodog have been plagued by bad press recently and many online gaming sites are warning players that all might not be rosy financially with the company.  It's not a site we've reviewed nor promote within the site so we are unable to comment.  However, it's probably best to be wary given some of the comments on other sites.
