Poker Victory in Macau
The much publicised final leg of the Asian Poker Tour in Macau reached a dramatic end when twenty year old Yivgeny Timoshenko, a US player of Ukrainian descent, took home the $500,000 prize pot after grabbing first place in the tournament.
The inaugural Asian Poker Tour (APT) has been hailed as Asia’s most exciting poker event so far and next year’s tournament promises to be bigger and greater than ever, following on from the success of this years event.
The largest online poker sites are now scrambling to offer sponsorship deals for a tournament, they see, as becoming one of the World's most popular in a few years time, and they want to get in early and cash in on it's forthcoming popularity rise.
