Lucky Ace Gets eCOGRA Stamp of Approval
The gambling watchdog group, eCOGRA has awarded Lucky Ace Casino and Lucky Ace Poker sites with its Safe and Fair online casino seal, bringing the number of sites to carry this prestigious award to 106. eCOGRA's Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Beveridge said about the award: “'Recently, Lucky Ace Casino applied for the eCOGRA seal accreditation. After extensive testing and inspection, the team and the independent directors who scrutinized the result of the compliance process, are satisfied that all issues have been fully addressed and that the owners of Lucky Ace Casino are now fully aware of what is expected of them as eCOGRA seal holders.”

Dutch Casinos Going up in Smoke?
Holland Casinos, the official land-based gambling businesses in the Netherlands are facing revenue losses as the country implements a sweeping smoke ban in public places from this week.

It is expected that Holland Casinos will lose customers who will be drawn instead to the convenience (and freedom to smoke!) of online casinos. Based on the experience of other countries who have imposed smoking bans on casinos, the Dutch land-based gambling industry will also be badly hit by the new regulations.

888 Holdings to Market New Sportech Product
Under the terms of a five year deal signed between Sportech and 888 Holdings, the latter will market Sportech’s exciting new product, the New Football Pools, internationally and across its entire customer base that comprises millions of players.

The deal will also see 888 replace Cryptologic as the software producer for Sportech’s casino and poker offerings from September this year. Ian Penrose of Sportech said that the deal “offers an unparalleled opportunity for all of our products to be effectively marketed on-line. Importantly this extends beyond the traditional online poker and casino offering and includes the Pools business which we believe will become an international online gaming brand.”
