Macau Casino Limitations

Macau Casino limitations have been welcomed by Ho, one of the most influential personalities in the Macau casino market, Stanley Ho, said that he saw the new restrictions placed on the region as a welcome sign.

He hoped that it would help end what he termed the ‘cut-throat’ competition that exists in the area between other casino owners.

The authorities have put a moratorium on the growth of new casinos and suspended the expansion of existing ones in a region that has surpassed Las Vegas in casino revenue.

“I am fully in favor of such an action and I think, not only that, we must all agree that in Macau now we have far too many casinos,” said Ho. “There is no point of opening up more casinos, we have more than enough, more than rice shops, so that is something we don’t want to encourage.”
