Bodog Loses Its Chief

Calvin Ayre Says Goodbye to Bodog.

Disbelief gripped the online gambling world this week, when one of the most prominent figures in the business, Bodog’s founder, Calvin Ayre, announced his retirement.

Ayre, the much talked-about, sometimes-controversial, but highly charitable Canadian dropped the bombshell on his blog this week. “You've likely heard the rumblings and rumors….and for once…..it's true…I'm packing it in!...I was really more of a brand ambassador for Bodog the past while anyway – but it was fun while it lasted,” he wrote.

Ayre will apparently spend his time enjoying the privacy and dedicating his time as philanthropist to the Calvin Ayre Foundation.

Sounds like a sensible move to us.  He's made his money and should enjoy it now!
