ASA Enforces Gambling Laws

Two Gambling Companies Charged with Poor Advertising Standards.  Paddy Power and InterCasino fall foul of the UK's new laws.

The UK Advertising Standards Authority has ordered InterCasino and PaddyPower to refrain from using several of their advertisements, after it was found that they were not in line with the authority’s strict level of standards.

Paddy Power’s advertising spread in the Times newspaper was charged for being too explicit by aligning gambling with sexual prowess.  In a similar vein, InterCasino had four ads that were considered to target to young people, a no-no under the country’s new gambling laws that came into effect last year.
