888 Reveals Massive 2007 Profits
Pre-tax profits for the successful online gaming company, 888 increased by 106%, according to a 2007 full-year report released by the firm this week.
The largest growth market for 888 was Europe, with the United Kingdom being the single largest market – not surprisingly, considering how much promotion goes into the UK industry.
Online gaming was the largest contributor to 888’s overall net gaming revenues of $213.4-million, while poker, backgammon and bingo also contributed to the profit numbers.
Referring to the company’s need to go through a major policy change following the passing of the UIGEA, Gigi Levy, CEO of 888 said: “I am very pleased to report that we have now successfully completed the restructuring and repositioning of the business and have delivered record results for the year, both in terms of revenue and profit.”
