Belle Rock Unveils Five New Slots
Belle Rock Entertainment has announced the introduction of five new games to its portfolio. All the online casinos in the company’s network, including the established and well known Jackpot City Casino will be offering, from today, four new video slot games (namely ‘Mardi Gras Fever’, ‘Shiver me Feathers!’, ‘Fi Fi the French Poodle’ and ‘Big Break’) and a classic three reel slot (‘Happy New Year’ to celebrate the Chinese New Year). The chairman of the media group that owns Belle Rock said: “We are popular for our broad variety, big payouts and high entertainment value and I am sure our players will enjoy these new additions.”

Spin3 Partners with PacificNet
Spin3, a division of Spiral Solutions and an industry leader as a provider of mobile gaming solutions, announced that is partnering with PacificNet, another online gambling and mobile technology company. Under the new agreement, PacificNet will use Spin3’s products in a wide range of markets throughout Asia, including Macau, China, Cambodia and the Philippines.  Spin3, powered by the software giant, Microgaming, already has a strong presence in the Asian region. The gaming director of PacificNet, Mr. Eugene Ng said of the new alliance: “We are more than excited to partner with Spin3 to expand our online business in one of the fastest growing gaming markets in the world.”

NBA Lobbys US Congress
The National Basketball Association of the United States has reportedly paid a consulting company over $300,000 to lobby the US congress on its behalf. While many of the issues brought before the congress dealt with sporting matters and steroid use, the NBA also lobbied for a tightening of laws pertaining to online gambling and the continuation of legislation banning sports betting in the country. The NBA may have been shaken into action by the growing support for anti-UIGEA bill proposals that are gaining momentum in the US.

Belgium Gambling Market Moving Toward Liberalisation
A recent MECN report shows that the Belgian gambling industry may be moving towards a period of liberalisation, following expectations that the government will vote in new laws this year. It is hoped that under the new legislation, foreign gambling operators will be allowed to compete in the Belgian market, which is already considered relatively liberalized. The report also said that the Netherlands might also be following this trend, despite a strong state-controlled industry.
