New Poker Head for Betfair
The online gambling company, Betfair has announced that it has appointed a new chief for its poker section, Brice Stubbs. Stubbs has been with Betfair from the very beginning and has been responsible for many of the company's successful projects and promotions in recent years. In particular, Stubbs served as project manager in the coordination of the World Series of Poker tournament this year on behalf of Betfair. Until Stubbs' appointment, Ben Fried filled the post of Head of Poker. However, Fried will stay on at the company and take control of poker operations in England and Ireland.  We'll be adding a BetFair review to the Doolallys casino reviews pages shortly, so stay tuned to find out exactly what we think about it.

Live Help Now Available at Backgammon Masters
Thanks to increased traffic and in a bid to expand its services, the popular casino site, Backgammon Masters, has announced the introduction of live customer support. The new feature will be accessible from the site's Game's Lobby, which also takes players to Liar's Dice, Backgammon, Poker and Blackjack gaming options at the click of a button. While at the moment the new live support will be available in English only, Backgammon Masters has indicated that this may change in the future, especially since the site's software can be played in as much as 12 different languages.

Ladbrokes Introduces 3D Poker
Leading online casino company, Ladbrokes has announced the introduction of 3D poker at its gambling site. The new virtual reality feature offers players a new, exciting dimension to their gambling experience, allowing them, for example, to create a 3D avatar complete with physical, human-like characteristics. The new features were developed by PlayWize, a UK company, and include Voice over Internet Protocol and interactive tutorials. Players on the site will still be able to play regular poker, without the three dimensional software, if they so wish. Check out the full review of Ladbrokes Poker.

iPoker Expels Maestro from its Network
The online poker casino, Maestro, has been removed from one of the industry's largest poker networks, iPoker, after it was found that the site violated the network's policies relating to rakebacks. iPoker has adopted a zero-tolerance stance on cases of reported rakebacks which Maestro offered its affiliates and customers. The network is operated by Playtech and some of the most popular poker rooms in the industry, including Bet365 and Titan Poker are members. iPoker has also issued a strong warning to other members, stating that any sites found dealing in rakebacks or other types of violating practices, will be given steep fines, or, as in the case of Maestro Poker, removed permanently from the network.
