Intercasino's Red Dog

I went back to the game of Red Dog tonight for another try at it.  It's a very enjoyable game, which, although the betting minimums are high, appeals to me.  I played for 10 minutes but unfortunately lost £20.

I seemed to hit lots of tight spreads, of 1, 2 or 3 and although the odds are much better, the chances of hitting these hands are much worse.  I did get one payback at odds of 4 to 1 which boosted my bankroll for a few minutes, but as I said before, Red Dog can swing your bankroll faster than a cat on hot bricks.

One of the reasons for starting tonight playing Red Dog and the higher betting limits is, due to my minimum bets and also because I don't play too often, I was in line to lose my initial deposit bonus due to not playing through enough money to qualify for keeping it.  I don't think that casino tournaments count towards the play-through monies as is the case with most online casinos.  Blackjack games often don't qualify either due to the low house edge.  Anyway, I had to bet a little tonight to keep the initial £50 I was given when I first signed up.  Anyway, my 10 minutes of playing time took me over the bet through limit and so it's now all officially mine!

If your not sure of how to play, then see our Red Dog Rules page.

To check if you have any requirements outstanding to meet is straight-forward with Intercasino and to be fair they give you about a weeks advance warning so fair play to them.  To check your promotion details, click “Cashier” then on “My Promotions” and finally “Bonus.”

I'm posting this to highlight the fact that in this World you rarely get something for nothing and that extends to online casinos, poker and bingo games as well.  It's always worth reading what play-through requirements that you have to meet before depositing, although, if you're like me I don't watch the bonuses available and prefer just to choose a casino I can trust and feel comfortable with.  Obviously this is different in this casino player blog right now because we're experimenting to see how much playing time I can get from my initial £50 deposit.

So far, I think I'm doing exceedingly well, although my fortunes will probably change.  I haven't totalled up my playing time yet but my Intercasino account is sitting at £102 and I've cashed in £250 for my £50 so I'm sitting pretty at the moment.
