Multi-Hand Blackjack Tournament

I knew it wouldn't be long before I attempted another casino tournament and this time a change from slots. Intercasino UK was running a Multi-Hand Blackjack tournament. Looking at the current standings with one day left of the casino tournament to run, I decided to play strategically.

Players start with 500 chips and when I paid my £10 to enrol in the Multi-hand Blackjack casino tournament, the top place was sitting at £2410, second place was 2336 chips, third 2287 and forth 2020.  The rest of the stacks were at a maximum of 700 chips with 8 places paid.

Now, my reckoning is that if I can quickly make a profit on my chips I can possibly get into the top 5 places without playing very much at all.  Obviously the first few hands were going to either make or break my chances but I decided to run with my casino tournament strategy and see how I got on.

For those not familiar with playing Blackjack, see our Blackjack Rules page, multi-hand blackjack works in exactly the same way but lets you play up to 5 hands at once.

I played a total of 3 hands, each for 100 chips and they all came back winners.  This left me with 800 chips and in 5th place – remember the top 8 places are paid.  1st place gets £250, 2nd £100 and the rest £25. 

I decided to stop there and check back tomorrow to see if I'm still in with a chance of hitting the top 8.  The chances are that I'll be overthrown but you never know, and if I am then I'll play the tournament through until I either have no chips left of have entered the leader board again. 

Using this casino tournament strategy, if you are going to take your chances with the casino tournaments anyway, stands you in a good position to capitalise on the payouts if few players decide to play or if the others don't hit it lucky.  You may well lose your tournament chips in the long run but if you leave it to the end of the tournament and stop when you hit the payout board then you've got as good a chance as anyone.

An update tomorrow on how my casino tournament strategy is going and if it makes me a winner this time.
