Absolute Poker Version 8
Absolute Poker has just released a new version of their popular poker rooms. The new poker software, version 8, has many new features that will appeal to Absolute Poker players.
Read on for a summary of some of the biggest changes and differences players logging in will have access to.
One of the new features that will appeal to players who like to move about a bit is that now you can transfer your chips between Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet Poker. These two top poker rooms are a favourite with players and the chance to switch rooms without having to setup a new account and manage 2 seperate accounts is a boon for players of both rooms.
The new version 8 of Absolute Poker also gives you more viewing options to let you set the poker client up on your screen in a manner that suits (no pun intended) you best and maximises the visual appeal of the screen. The graphics have been bumped up to the next level and the tables are now resizable so you can tailor the visuals to both your eyes and you computers screen. The cards are also now dealt slightly faster than before.
One of the facinating new features and one that should be implemented, in my eyes, in all poker rooms, is the ability to increase your betting amount by sing the scroll button on your mouse. This is something that is always a pain to do and can slow down the game greatly if there are many raises in a no-limit or pot-limit poker game.
You can also choose between three different table styles to suit your preferences. The new styles are the Classic View, the Quarter View and the Top View. We find any new view a bit disconcerting but play each for a while and you'll soon find the one that works best for you. If you play multi-tables, you can also cascade or tile the windows as well as overlap them which is very handy.
Absolute Poker have continued to up the stakes with the new version 8 software and players will be able to upgrade the next time they play poker in the Absolute Poker rooms.
