Casino Red to Operate UK Land Casino
A renovated cinema in the center of Huddersfield – a town in West Yorkshire, England – will be the home to a new land-based casino owned and operated by the popular online gambling site, Casino Red. The online casino group was awarded a license to develop the establishment under the new regulatory legislation set up by the UK Gambling Commission, which comes into effect at the beginning of September. The new casino will feature two floors of casino games – one dedicated entirely to poker, as well as a large dining area. Over 120 people will be employed by Casino Red to operate the casino, and it is expected that 10 million pounds will be invested into the project.
Neteller Predicts Growth in Alternative Markets
E-banking giant, Neteller, has walked away from a prolonged investigation case with US authorities with a clean slate and its eye to the future. Neteller needed to forfeit over $135-million over charges of illegal gambling activities, but already the company has announced its intentions to launch into European and Asian markets where gambling revenues are on the increase. In addition, the company has almost completed the long and intensive process of paying back the $94-million owed to US gamblers – funds that were frozen when the Department of Justice arrested two founding members of the Neteller in January of this year.
Backgammon Masters Adds Blackjack to Suite
Fans of Backgammon Master’s seamless suite of top casino games that comprises poker, backgammon and Perudo, will be pleased to note that another game is to be added to this site’s platform. Multiplayer blackjack will be made available to players on the same download as the three other games and, as usual, can be accessed in a multitude of languages including Hebrew, Greek, Spanish and German. The new blackjack will allow up to five players around a table, with added features including the ability to chat to others.
Microgaming Partners with Another Poker Room
Canbet.com, a popular online casino site, will have its poker room powered by Microgaming, effective immediately. A deal was signed between Canbet’s parent company, International All Sports and the software giant this week, essentially providing Canbet.com poker players with the opportunity to access the latest games and tournaments on Microgaming’s poker network. International All Sports merged with Canbet in 2005 and provides quality online casino gaming and sportsbetting options to its European and English players.
Jackpot City Launches German Casino
