CryptoLogic Releases New Multi-Table Poker Tournament Game
Poker fans will be delighted to hear that the software giant, CryptoLogic is releasing a new multi-table poker tournament game with a twist. The new game offers great incentives for players to reach the finish – each player that manages to eliminate another is guaranteed an extra sum of cash.
The new game, known as Headhunter Challenge, works on a ‘bounty system’ whereby players knock out others in a tournament setup. The buy-in fee will be allocated the cover the ‘heads’ of eliminated players, while the rest will serve as the prize pool. The game is also exciting news for amateur players who usually get frustrated by not winning anything in tournaments. In this way, any small success, such as the elimination of even one player, comes with a prize.

London Named Poker King
The poker magazine, Bluff, has named London as the hottest destination in the world for poker players, providing a list of reasons why players should head off for the English capital. The publication noted that London has no less than 24 casinos and hundreds of smaller card rooms, offering players a lot of diversity and playing options. In addition, Bluff praised the city’s attitude to the game of poker and other gambling pastimes – an attitude that is in line with the whole country’s move towards legalizing and regulating the industry, including the online gambling industry. Following closely on London’s heels were the cities, Dublin, Tallinn, Barcelona and Monte Carlo.
Spanish Watchdog Group Chides Online Casino for Football Sponsorship Deal
A complaint against the actions of the Austrian online casino company, Bwin was brought by the Spanish watchdog group Asociación de Usuarios de la Comunicación (AUC). The group sent a letter to the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Taxes, outlining why they feel that Bwin’s sponsorship deal with Real Madrid Football Club violated up to eight laws of the country. Despite a general move to be more accepting of the online casino industry, Spanish law still states that unlicensed online casino firms cannot promote their services in the country, even as logos on the sport shirts of football players. Another company, 888.com, was also being watched closely due to the sponsorship deal that it signed with Seville. The Spanish government will take action if the companies are found to have broken the law.
New Poker Analysis Software Launched
Poker software providers, Poker Software Academy, announced the launch of a new product that should brings smiles to the faces of millions of players worldwide. The new analysis package – named Prospector – will facilitate poker analysis through a number of exciting features, including performance reports, statistics and hand replayer. Players will be able to track their playing sessions, including their bankroll, with a state-of-the-art graphic representation. The analysis software can also present reports on the opponent’s statistics.
