Casinos Closed

Since the introduction of Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act 2006 (UIGEA) in the US which was tagged onto the Safe Port Act, the two of which are completely unrelated, some US facing groups are facing a big squeeze. The latest casulties in the battle are closing their online casino doors on the 1st of June.

The casinos concerned are long running online casinos however, they were very much a US facing operation that has been hit hard by the strange legislation introduced into the US. The concerned casinos that will be closing are:

The Six Shooter Casino – An old wild west themed casino that was established in 1997.

Star Online Casino – Established in 1998, Star Online Casino was a fairly popular casino that looked very slick.

Merlin's Magic – A very friendly place to play that was one of my personal favourites. A real shame to see this site close. Merlin's unparalleled wizardry conjured up many nights of entertainment.

Grand Riviera – Another very popular site that stood the test of time until the US player ban came into force.

Go Casino – A trustworthy casino that offered great games. A pity to see the UIGEA closing this one.

Only Bingo – Offered a range of bingo games, slots and scratchcards.

Online Vegas – A great name and it was a nice place to play online but not any more! The dazzling lights have now been switched off.

You can join the fight to repeal this unfair legislation. For more details we recommend Repeal UIGEA or APCW - Join the Fight.
