One of the things people who love playing blackjack often ask us is when to split pairs.

For those of you who maybe aren't familiar with the ins and outs of the rules of blackjack, when you are dealt a pair of cards, of any value, you have the option of splitting them into two hands.

If you choose to split the pairs, you play each hand independantly of each other. Of course, you also have to double your stake, so it makes sense to understand basic blackjack strategy to enable you to split your cards when the odds of winning both hands are to your advantage.
